The ACCUPRO 12183080 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and composite materials. It features a 1/2 inch diameter with a 1/8 inch corner radius, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 40-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding production environments. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing plunge cuts as well as conventional milling passes. It is sized with a 1/2 inch shank diameter for compatibility with standard toolholders. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill suits applications in job shops, toolrooms, and production floors where a long-flute tool is required for deep-wall pocketing, slot milling, and profile work. The 2 inch length of cut supports extended reach into cavities without requiring a longer shank extension. The bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and applications where coating residue is a concern. The 4-inch overall length provides additional clearance for deep-pocket work while maintaining rigidity under cutting loads.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement or first-fit solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills equipped with 1/2 inch tool holders or collets.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or removing the tool. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder and confirm the shank is seated to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
