The ACCUPRO 12183054 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 0.045-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at part edges and extends tool life in demanding cutting applications. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration provides efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. With a 3/8-inch diameter, a 1-1/8-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length, this is a long-series end mill suited for reaching deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. It is a single-end, centercutting tool capable of plunge entry cuts.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a radiused corner is required by design or to reduce corner chipping. The long flute length makes it appropriate for deeper pocket milling and side wall finishing passes. Machinists working in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments will find this tool well-suited for general-purpose milling of steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new installation in standard 3/8-inch ER or side-lock toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting 3/8-inch shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or quill is secured before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify shank seating depth and runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts. Consult applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer documentation for feeds, speeds, and coolant recommendations appropriate to the workpiece material.
