It features a 5/16-inch (0.3125 inch) mill diameter, a 1-1/8-inch (1.1250 inch) length of cut, and a 0.0200-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the bottom of a cut and extends tool life. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides high-heat resistance for dry or high-speed cutting. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece.
