The ACCUPRO 12182967 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and composite materials. With a 1 inch cutting diameter, 2.25 inch length of cut, and 5 inch overall length, this tool delivers extended reach capability for deeper shoulder and slot milling passes. The 4-flute, spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Machined from micrograin carbide, the substrate offers excellent hardness and wear resistance. This is an uncoated, centercutting tool, meaning it can be plunged directly into a workpiece without pre-drilling. Installation and use is performed by machinists and CNC tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills requiring a 1 inch shank. The long length type makes it well suited for deep-pocket milling, extended-reach profiling, and applications where standard-length tools cannot reach the cutting zone. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match conventional spindle rotation on standard machining equipment. It is used in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where solid carbide tooling is specified for accuracy and surface finish quality.
Designed as a direct-fit tooling option for any milling machine or machining center equipped with a 1 inch collet, end mill holder, or Weldon-style tool holder accepting a 1 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard tooling setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque set screws or collet nuts to the tool holder manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as carbide tooling is sensitive to excessive runout and lateral shock loading.
