The ACCUPRO 12182964 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers the hardness and edge retention required for demanding cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 4-flute, spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. At 0.750 inches in diameter with a 1 inch length of cut, this is a stub-length tool suited for rigid setups where tool deflection must be minimized. Installation and operation require a CNC machining center or manual milling machine operated by a qualified machinist.
This end mill is intended for use in production and job-shop machining environments. Its centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, adding flexibility for pocket milling and interpolation operations. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard for conventional and climb milling on vertical machining centers. The uncoated finish makes it suitable for use with cutting fluids in applications where a coated tool is not required or where regrinding is planned.
Designed as a standard shank square end mill with a 0.750 inch shank diameter, compatible with ER collets, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders sized for 3/4 inch shanks on vertical or horizontal machining centers.
This tool should be installed and operated by a qualified machinist familiar with speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters for solid carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and locked before changing end mills. Verify runout at the tool tip after installation using a dial indicator to confirm proper seating in the holder. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for appropriate clamping torque on the toolholder.
