The ACCUPRO 12182961 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 11/16-inch cutting diameter and a 40-degree helix angle that promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during aggressive passes. The micrograin carbide substrate provides wear resistance and edge retention suited for high-speed machining environments. With four flutes and a spiral flute geometry, this tool delivers a good balance of chip clearance and surface finish. It is single-end, centercutting, and configured for right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction, making it compatible with standard vertical and horizontal milling machines and CNC machining centers.
This end mill is appropriate for stub-length applications where rigidity is more critical than reach. The 1-inch length of cut and 3-inch overall length keep deflection low during slotting, profiling, and side milling operations. The 3/4-inch shank seats securely in standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholding systems. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance machining environments. The uncoated finish makes it suitable for use with cutting fluid on a broad range of workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 3/4-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholding systems used in CNC and manual milling applications.
This tool is installed by machinists using standard end mill holders or collet chucks rated for the 3/4-inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify holder runout with a dial indicator before production use, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque specifications when securing the tool holder drawbar or collet nut.
