The ACCUPRO 12182920 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 15/32 inch (0.4688 inch) cutting diameter and a 5/8 inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding cuts. A 40-degree helix angle and TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating reduce friction and extend tool life. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving machinists flexibility in toolpath programming without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill suits stub-length applications where reduced overhang and increased rigidity are priorities. It is appropriate for job shops, tool rooms, and production environments working with steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The 1/2 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling common to vertical machining centers. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral fluting are standard for conventional and climb milling operations.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for any machine tool accepting a 1/2 inch shank end mill, including vertical machining centers, CNC knee mills, and manual milling machines equipped with ER, end mill holder, or shrink-fit tooling systems.
Installed by machinists or toolroom personnel using appropriate collet chucks or end mill holders torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the holder bore is clean and free of chips before clamping. Verify spindle RPM and feed rate against published carbide end mill cutting data for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated depth of cut for the flute length.
