The ACCUPRO 12182875 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/8-inch diameter with a 0.02-inch corner radius, producing consistent, blended edges on workpiece corners while reducing stress concentrations at the cut. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. With a 40-degree helix angle and micrograin carbide construction, this end mill maintains edge integrity at higher feed rates and cutting speeds. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments install and run this tool.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills where a stub-length tool is appropriate. The 5/8-inch length of cut and 2-inch overall length make it well-suited for shallow-to-moderate depth passes in steel, aluminum, stainless, and similar materials. The bright, uncoated finish allows direct inspection of the cutting edge and is appropriate for applications where coating adhesion or heat-related concerns favor an uncoated tool. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling common in production and prototype machining setups.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for any machine spindle accepting a 3/8-inch shank via ER collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit chuck. No specific OEM model compatibility was stated in the product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator after seating in the holder to stay within the shank diameter tolerance range. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or axial engagement without consulting manufacturer cutting data.
