The ACCUPRO 12182868 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. With a 0.3543-inch (9 mm) mill diameter, a 0.5512-inch length of cut, and a 2-3/4-inch overall length, this stub-length tool offers rigidity and reduced deflection in tight-clearance applications. The 4-flute, 40-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction provides wear resistance and edge retention across a range of materials. Machinists and toolroom operators working on CNC mills or manual knee mills are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill suits general-purpose peripheral milling, slotting, and profiling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The stub length type keeps overhang minimal, making it well suited for face milling, shallow pocket work, and finishing passes where chatter control matters. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration match standard spindle rotation on conventional machining centers. The 10 mm shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in production and job-shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard toolroom end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 10 mm shank diameter via ER collet chucks, milling chucks, or side-lock holders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Verify shank seating depth and runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts. Observe the shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 / -0.0004 inches when selecting collet size to ensure proper grip and minimize runout.
