The ACCUPRO 12182864 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys. With an 11/32-inch (0.3438 inches) cutting diameter and a 40-degree helix angle, this tool generates efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at elevated feed rates. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in dry or minimally lubricated cutting environments. Four spiral flutes and a stub-length profile deliver rigidity in tight-clearance setups where deflection must be minimized. Centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill suits general-purpose and high-performance milling applications including slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The stub-length overall profile (2 inches OAL) improves rigidity when working in shallow-depth applications where reach is not a constraint. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional vertical spindle setups. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, milling chucks, and shrink-fit holders common to most machining center spindles.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard 3/8-inch collet chucks, milling chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating cutting operations, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a carbide tool of this diameter.
