The ACCUPRO 12182777 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, and hardened materials. At 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) diameter with a 3/16 inch length of cut and 1/8 inch shank, this is a small-diameter tool built for tight-tolerance work where rigidity and cutting edge integrity matter. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life in high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting operations. The 30-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Machinists and toolroom operators working on CNC machining centers or manual mills will find this suited for slots, pockets, and profiling cuts at small scale.
This end mill fits applications in aerospace, mold and die, medical device, and general precision machining where small-diameter tooling is required. Its stub-length profile and 1-1/2 inch overall length reduce overhang and improve rigidity, making it well suited for shallow-depth pocketing and detail work on hardened or abrasive workpieces. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the material without a pre-drilled hole, adding flexibility to the machining process.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with 1/8 inch collet or end mill holders. The 1/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER11, ER16, and similarly sized collet systems commonly used with small-diameter tooling.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Ensure the collet and holder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain runout tolerances. Small-diameter carbide end mills are brittle - avoid side-loading beyond the rated depth of cut and do not use damaged or worn holders that can increase runout. A licensed machinist or trained CNC operator should verify speeds, feeds, and depth of cut parameters before running this tool.
