The ACCUPRO 12182763 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool measures 3/16 inches in diameter with a 3/8-inch length of cut and a 0.015-inch corner radius, making it suited for applications that require a controlled edge blend rather than a sharp corner. A titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive cutting conditions. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This single-end, centercutting tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes on slots, pockets, and contoured profiles where a small corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in the workpiece. The stub-length configuration provides added rigidity during light aggressive cuts. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting action are standard for conventional CNC setups. Typical applications include mold and die work, precision part machining, and production runs on hardened or coated stock where TiCN performance is preferred over uncoated carbide.
Designed as a standard shank end mill compatible with ER collet systems, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Suitable for use on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills configured for right-hand cutting tools.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the toolholder and spindle are clean and free of runout before seating the shank. Secure the tool to the full recommended insertion depth per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Power down the spindle completely before changing or adjusting tooling, and verify clamping torque with a calibrated torque wrench per holder manufacturer guidelines.
