The ACCUPRO 12182755 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/16 inch diameter with a matching 3/16 inch shank, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.01 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the bottom of a slot or pocket while improving surface finish. The micrograin solid carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance suited to ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A 40-degree helix and four right-hand spiral flutes promote efficient chip evacuation. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into material. It is installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and CNC programmers.
This end mill is suited for stub-length milling applications where rigidity and minimal deflection are priorities. Its compact 2 inch overall length and stub classification make it appropriate for tight-clearance setups on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. The bright uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for general-purpose milling of aluminum, brass, plastics, and softer steels where a coating is not required. The corner radius geometry is particularly useful when milling pockets or profiles that require a small, controlled radius at internal corners.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for 3/16 inch collet or end mill holder setups on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual milling machines accepting right-hand cutting tools.
Installation requires a compatible 3/16 inch collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit holder. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked before tool changes. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation, as shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches and excessive runout will accelerate wear. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material.
