The ACCUPRO 12182743 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers consistent cutting performance and extended tool life compared to high-speed steel alternatives. The tool features a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating that reduces friction and improves wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. With a 5/32 inch (0.1563 inch) mill diameter, 4 spiral flutes, and a 40-degree helix angle, it is engineered for efficient chip evacuation and a stable cut. The stub-length geometry provides rigidity in tight-clearance setups where tool deflection is a concern.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other ferrous materials in both production and job-shop environments. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry, supporting slot milling, pocket milling, and contour operations without a pre-drilled entry hole. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional vertical and horizontal milling machines as well as CNC machining centers. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders used in these platforms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the recommended minimum insertion depth per the tool holder manufacturer's guidelines to maintain runout tolerances. Verify collet condition and cleanliness before seating, as debris or a worn collet will compromise tool life and surface finish.
