The ACCUPRO 12182727 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.02 inch corner radius, and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating that improves wear resistance and tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With four flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention during demanding cuts. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be used for plunge and ramp entry as well as peripheral and slot milling.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills handling precision contouring, profiling, and finishing passes. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, making it appropriate for hardened steels, stainless, and alloy materials where sharp corner breakdown is a concern. The stub length classification provides added rigidity, minimizing deflection during high-feed operations. Machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working in job shops, production facilities, and mold-and-die environments will find this a reliable single-use or re-grindable option depending on shop practice.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill suitable for use in standard 1/8 inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully and evenly in a clean, undamaged collet or tool holder and torque the drawbar or retention mechanism per the machine manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on small-diameter carbide tooling.
