The ACCUPRO 12182681 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 0.09 inch corner radius, and a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, making it well suited for producing radiused inside corners and contoured profiles with consistent dimensional accuracy. The 4-inch overall length and 3/4 inch shank diameter provide rigidity in standard milling setups. An AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life when cutting hard or abrasive materials. Micrograin solid carbide construction supports tight tolerances and resists chipping during high-speed operation. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling specialists in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless, and cast iron where a corner radius profile is required. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and full peripheral cutting in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, which is beneficial in slotting, profiling, and ramping operations. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling spindles.
Designed for use in standard 3/4 inch diameter collet chucks, end mill holders, or hydraulic toolholders on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers accepting right-hand cutting end mills with a 3/4 inch shank.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the CNC control in an e-stop or tool-change state. Ensure the shank seating depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum engagement requirement before torquing the retention mechanism. Inspect the collet or holder bore for runout and contamination prior to clamping, as excess runout accelerates corner radius wear and degrades profile accuracy. AlTiN-coated carbide tools should not be used with coolants that contain high sulfur concentrations, as this can degrade the coating.
