The ACCUPRO 12182666 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 3/4 inch diameter cutter features a 1/8 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at part corners and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner profiles. With four flutes, a 40-degree helix angle, and a TiCN coating, this end mill handles side milling, slotting, and profiling in demanding CNC machining environments. The micrograin carbide substrate supports high cutting speeds and feeds. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC programmers specify this tool for finishing and semi-finishing passes where corner geometry control is critical.
This end mill is suited for vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration is standard for most CNC spindle setups. The 1-1/2 inch length of cut accommodates typical pocket depths in mold work, fixture plates, and structural components. The 3/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER, Weldon, and shrink-fit toolholders commonly used at this size range. Applications include profiling, corner blending, and finishing passes where a controlled corner radius is specified by the part drawing.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-install tooling for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank; compatible with ER collet chucks, Weldon-style holders, and shrink-fit toolholders of the appropriate bore size.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Confirm spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cutting geometry of this tool before engaging the workpiece.
