The ACCUPRO 12182644 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of metals and hard materials. It features a 5/8 inch diameter with a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at part corners and extends tool life in demanding cutting operations. With 4 flutes, a 40-degree helix angle, and an AlTiN coating, this end mill handles high-speed, high-temperature cuts in ferrous alloys, stainless steels, and hardened materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, it holds tight tolerances and resists wear under sustained load. Machinists and tool-and-die shops are the primary users.
This end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual mills performing finishing and semi-finishing passes on mold cavities, die features, pockets, and contoured surfaces. The 1-1/4 inch length of cut and 3-1/2 inch overall length make it practical for medium-depth pocket work and profile milling. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC setups. The AlTiN coating performs best in dry or minimal-coolant conditions where heat resistance is a priority, such as cutting tool steels, titanium, and Inconel.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 5/8 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in an e-stop or locked-out state. Seat the 5/8 inch shank fully into a matched collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use. Follow your shop's speed and feed charts for the specific workpiece material when setting spindle RPM and feed rate.
