The ACCUPRO 12182634 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 5/8 inch diameter with a 0.045 inch corner radius, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 3-1/2 inch overall length. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry combined with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive and harder workpiece materials. This end mill is centercutting and capable of plunge operations. It is a single-end tool with a 5/8 inch shank diameter, machined from micrograin solid carbide for dimensional stability and edge retention.
This corner radius end mill is suited for milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel alloys, stainless steel, and cast iron in both production and job-shop environments. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, making it appropriate for finishing passes, profiling, and slotting where sharp corners would otherwise chip. Machinists and CNC operators in tool-and-die, aerospace, and general metalworking shops are the primary users. The TiCN coating makes this tool a practical choice when working with abrasive materials or running at elevated speeds where heat buildup is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 5/8 inch shank collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe lockout state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth per your machine tool manufacturer guidelines, and torque the collet nut according to the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the tool for chips or runout before commencing a cut.
