The ACCUPRO 12182627 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining applications. It features a 5/8 inch diameter with a 0.0900 inch corner radius and a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, making it well suited for finishing passes and contouring work where corner breakout and edge chipping must be controlled. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. A 40-degree helix angle improves cutting action on harder materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working with machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment.
This end mill is suited for use in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments. It handles a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a corner radius profile is required to reduce stress concentrations in milled pockets and slots. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge milling in addition to peripheral and slot cutting. The bright/uncoated finish makes it appropriate for general-purpose applications and materials where coated tooling is not required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 5/8 inch shank end mill holder or collet.
This tool is installed by machinists using a properly sized collet, end mill holder, or hydraulic chuck rated for the 5/8 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the tool to maintain runout tolerances within the shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches. Follow machine manufacturer feed, speed, and depth-of-cut recommendations for solid carbide tooling. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the tool if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
