The ACCUPRO 12182621 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 5/8 inch diameter, a 1/8 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a 40-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance suited for harder workpiece materials. At 3-1/2 inches overall length with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, this single-end, centercutting tool handles both plunge and peripheral milling operations. Bright/uncoated finish makes it easy to inspect for wear after use.
This end mill is appropriate for general-purpose and finishing cuts on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentrations at inside corners, extends tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills, and produces a consistent radius profile on workpiece features. It is well suited for mold and die work, aerospace components, and general job shop work where a blended corner is required. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional spindle setups.
Designed as a standard 5/8 inch shank corner radius end mill compatible with CNC machining centers, knee mills, and toolholders accepting a 5/8 inch straight shank, including ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling chucks of the appropriate bore size.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an E-stop or locked-out state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the minimum engagement depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Do not exceed the tool's rated length of cut when programming axial depth of cut.
