The ACCUPRO 12182616 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 9/16-inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/4-inch length of cut, it handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 4-flute configuration balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. A 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding production environments. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working on mills, machining centers, and manual knee mills.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling applications in job shops, production machining, and tool rooms. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, making it suitable for pocket milling and interpolated bores. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard spindle rotation conventions. The regular-length body keeps deflection low during full-depth passes. It is applicable across a broad range of materials where an uncoated micrograin carbide tool performs effectively without the added cost of a surface coating.
Designed as a standard shank square end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems accepting a 9/16-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the toolholder and torque set screws or collet nuts per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cutting program.
