The ACCUPRO 12182598 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating that increases surface hardness and reduces heat buildup during cutting. With 4 flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth finishes on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention under demanding cutting conditions. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production machining, and toolrooms rely on this style of end mill for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a defined corner radius is required.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual knee mills equipped with appropriate collet or end mill holders. The single-end, centercutting design allows for plunge entry and versatile toolpath strategies. A right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute direction make it compatible with conventional spindle setups. The 1/2 inch shank diameter fits standard 1/2 inch collets and end mill holders commonly found in CNC and manual machining environments. It is appropriate for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where TiCN coating performance is beneficial.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 1/2 inch collet and end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with proper tool holding and runout requirements. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended gauge length and torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut to protect both the workpiece and the cutting tool.
