The ACCUPRO 12182569 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, alloy, and engineered materials. With a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 2-3/4 inch overall length, this tool fits standard toolholders with a 7/16 inch shank. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. A TiCN coating adds wear resistance and extends tool life in demanding cutting environments. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher feed rates and extended run times compared to standard carbide grades. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill suits general-purpose and finish milling applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless, and cast iron. The centercutting geometry allows plunge milling in addition to peripheral and slot cutting. The regular length profile makes it a practical choice for side milling, profiling, and pocketing operations where reach and rigidity need to be balanced. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is compatible with standard CNC machining center spindles running conventional or climb milling passes.
Designed for use in standard 7/16 inch toolholders including collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. No specific OEM system compatibility was stated in the product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured with the appropriate torque per the toolholder manufacturer guidelines before running. Clean the shank and toolholder bore of chips and coolant before seating the end mill to maintain runout tolerance. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use; carbide is brittle and should not be dropped or subjected to impact loading.
