The ACCUPRO 12182566 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard material applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock and finished with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, it delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance compared to uncoated tooling. The 27/64 inch (0.4219 inch) cutting diameter, 40-degree helix angle, and 4-flute spiral geometry combine to produce clean, efficient cuts with good chip evacuation. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This end mill is suited for machinists and toolmakers working on manual mills, CNC machining centers, and general-purpose milling setups.
This end mill fits standard machining applications requiring a 7/16 inch shank for secure tool holding in collet chucks, ER collet holders, or end mill holders. The 1 inch length of cut and 2-3/4 inch overall length make it well suited for shallow-to-moderate depth profiling, slotting, and side milling passes. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the industry-standard orientation compatible with conventional spindle direction on most vertical and horizontal machining centers. The regular length type keeps deflection low for tighter tolerances in finish passes.
Designed for use in 7/16 inch tool holders including ER collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. No specific OEM system compatibility was provided in the product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following safe tooling practices. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention hardware to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use — a damaged carbide edge can fracture under load and create a safety hazard.
