The ACCUPRO 12182564 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and general machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life during dry or high-speed machining. With a 40-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 0.4062 inches in diameter with a 1-inch length of cut, it suits finish and semi-finish milling passes where accuracy and surface quality are priorities. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills equipped with a 7/16-inch collet or tool holder. The 0.4375-inch shank diameter and 2-3/4-inch overall length make it suited for regular-reach applications with moderate depth-of-cut requirements. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, providing flexibility for pocket milling and slot cutting operations without a pre-drilled start hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction follow the conventional spindle rotation standard on most mill setups.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills using a 7/16-inch collet or end mill holder with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a locked-out state before loading or changing the tool. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued to the manufacturer's specification for the machine platform. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or debris before seating the tool to maintain runout accuracy.
