The ACCUPRO 12182532 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 7/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that produces a controlled fillet at the base of milled features, reducing stress concentrations and improving surface finish. With four flutes, a 40-degree helix angle, and right-hand cutting and flute direction, this end mill is suited for aggressive material removal while maintaining edge quality. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms.
This end mill is used in milling applications that require a small corner radius on interior profiles, pockets, and slots. The centercutting geometry allows it to plunge directly into workpiece material, adding versatility to its use in both roughing and finishing passes. The bright/uncoated finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous metals, aluminum alloys, and other materials where coating adhesion or heat buildup is not a primary concern. The single-end configuration and 3/8 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holder tooling systems.
Designed for use with standard 3/8 inch collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks commonly found on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or removing the end mill. The shank should be seated to the full recommended depth in the holder and clamped securely to prevent pullout during cutting. Always verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting, and confirm feed and speed parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material before beginning a cut.
