The ACCUPRO 12182462 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter with a 0.02 inch corner radius, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 40-degree helix angle. The TiCN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With four flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. The centercutting design allows for plunge milling in addition to standard peripheral cuts. This tool is sold individually and suits professional machinists and toolroom technicians who require tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual or automated milling machines. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found in both production and job-shop environments. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds and feeds compared to standard carbide grades, making it appropriate for finishing passes and light-to-moderate roughing in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and harder alloys. The single-end configuration and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it a practical choice for tight-clearance setups and general-purpose profiling, slotting, and contouring work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 1/4 inch shank end mill holders and ER collet chucks used in CNC and manual milling applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the shank fully within the collet or end mill holder to the recommended grip length before tightening. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
