The ACCUPRO 12182445 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding material removal and finishing passes. The 4-flute, spiral-flute geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 15/64 inch in diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut, this tool is well suited for tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and pocket milling where dimensional accuracy is critical. A licensed machinist or CNC programmer will find this tool ready for direct installation in standard collet or milling chuck setups.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. The centercutting design allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, expanding its versatility for pocket operations. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration follows the standard spindle rotation used in the vast majority of milling setups. Its 1/4 inch shank diameter fits common ER collets and end mill holders found in both light-duty and mid-range machines.
Designed as a standard 1/4 inch shank square end mill compatible with ER collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks sized for 1/4 inch shank tooling on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth in the collet or holder and torque the retention nut per the tool holder manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, particularly for tight-tolerance applications.
