The ACCUPRO 12182423 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/16-inch diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating that extends tool life by reducing friction and resisting heat buildup. With four flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, this single-end, centercutting tool delivers smooth chip evacuation and efficient material removal. It is manufactured from micrograin carbide for added hardness and edge retention. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this geometry for profiling, contouring, and finishing work where a sharp, radiused corner profile is required.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills processing ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys where TiCN coating provides a performance advantage over uncoated or TiN-coated tooling. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it practical for pocket milling and ramp entry operations. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional setup on most vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-specification corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter in standard collet or end mill holder tooling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
