The ACCUPRO 12182397 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers consistent cutting performance and edge retention in demanding applications. The 4-flute, spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. At 0.1406 inches in diameter with a 0.5-inch length of cut, this is a small-diameter tool suited for fine detail work, slotting, and light profiling. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pilot hole. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines equipped with a 3/16-inch collet or equivalent holding system. Its regular-length geometry and 2-inch overall length make it well-suited for shallow-to-mid-depth cuts in tight workspaces. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are compatible with standard spindle rotation. This tool is appropriate for use in job shops, maintenance machining, and production environments where small-diameter precision milling is required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with a 3/16-inch collet or tool holder. Compatible with standard right-hand spindle rotation setups.
Installation and operation of end mills should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with cutting tool safety and machine setup. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or chuck. Verify collet size matches the 3/16-inch shank diameter and that the tool is seated and torqued per the machine manufacturer specifications. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
