The ACCUPRO 12182376 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, composites, and engineered plastics. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers the edge hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding cutting applications. The 4-flute, spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 0.125 inches in diameter with a 0.5-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length, this is a compact tool suited for fine detail work, slot milling, and profiling in tight geometries. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines across job shops, tool and die operations, and precision manufacturing environments. Its 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems and tool holders in that size range. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional milling setups. Uncoated micrograin carbide construction makes it appropriate for non-ferrous metals, hardwoods, plastics, and some ferrous alloys where coating is not required or where re-sharpening is anticipated.
Designed to fit standard 1/8-inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills. Confirm collet size and spindle compatibility before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or tool holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended engagement depth per the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use — a damaged carbide end mill should be removed from service immediately, as micrograin carbide is brittle under lateral shock loads.
