The ACCUPRO 12182359 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter with a 0.02 inch corner radius and a 1-3/4 inch length of cut, making it well suited for profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding cuts. A TiCN coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in abrasive applications. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills for operations requiring a controlled corner break or full corner radius blend on a finished edge. The single-end, centercutting design allows it to plunge directly into material as well as cut along the periphery. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, which is beneficial when milling hardened steels, stainless alloys, and cast iron. Its right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling selection for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 1 inch shank diameter in an end mill holder, collet chuck, or shrink-fit toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in a clean, undamaged holder and torque set screws or collet nuts to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the cutting edge after installation before beginning a cut, and confirm the programmed feed, speed, and depth of cut are appropriate for the workpiece material and machine capability.
