The ACCUPRO 12182358 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating that increases surface hardness and reduces heat buildup during cutting. With 4 flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth finishes. The micrograin carbide substrate supports high-speed machining in demanding materials. This is a single-end, center-cutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into workpieces as well as perform peripheral cuts. Machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, profiles, and contoured surfaces where a controlled corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations or meet part geometry callouts. The 1-3/4 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length make it appropriate for moderate-depth cavity work and general-purpose profiling. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting designation are standard for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 1 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in most machine shops.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1 inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolsetter. The shank must be seated fully and secured in a clean, undamaged toolholder to the holder manufacturer's specified torque before use. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or damage before each use, and never exceed the end mill manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or measuring tools.
