The ACCUPRO 12182352 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 1-inch diameter and a 0.045-inch corner radius, this tool produces controlled edge profiles while reducing stress concentration at part corners. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 4 inches overall length with a 1.75-inch length of cut, it fits standard toolholding systems and handles both slotting and profiling passes. Micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed for production-rate cutting. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool in shop environments.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where corner radius profiles are required on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Its centercutting design allows direct plunge entry, making it appropriate for pocketing operations as well as peripheral milling. The bright, uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for applications where coating buildup or adhesion to the workpiece material is a concern, such as certain aluminum alloys or softer steels.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 1-inch bore toolholders on CNC machining centers and compatible milling machines.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in an E-stop or lockout state per facility LOTO procedures. Use a calibrated torque wrench and appropriate collet or end mill holder to seat the 1-inch shank securely before running. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius under magnification before each use; carbide tools should not be run if chipping or micro-fractures are visible. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate against material specifications before engaging the cut.
