The ACCUPRO 12182333 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, alloy, and hardened material applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/16 inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in confined spaces. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating extends tool life by reducing heat buildup and improving wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. Micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity needed to hold tolerances in demanding cuts. This is a single-end, center-cutting tool suited for plunge, slot, and peripheral milling operations.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills where fine detail work and small-diameter cutting are required. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and precision part manufacturing in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting aggressiveness with chip control, making it well suited for steel, stainless steel, and hard alloys. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders used across production and job-shop environments.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill compatible with 1/8 inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's runout and torque specifications for the collet or holder in use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify shank seating depth meets the holder's minimum grip requirement to prevent pullout under load. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use.
