The ACCUPRO 12182329 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.0591 inch (1.50 mm) mill diameter with a 0.1969 inch (5.00 mm) length of cut, making it well-suited for fine detail work, slotting, and profiling in tight geometries. The four-flute spiral design with a 30-degree helix angle provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating adds surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Micrograin carbide construction delivers consistent edge integrity at small diameters. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, this end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines alike.
This end mill is suited for precision milling operations in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms. Its small diameter makes it particularly useful for micro-milling, engraving, and fine-feature machining where larger tools cannot reach. The centercutting capability allows plunge milling in addition to standard peripheral cutting. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match conventional CNC spindle configurations. The regular-length body keeps the tool rigid, reducing deflection when machining hardened steels, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials at close tolerances.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard shank end mills with a 3.00 mm (0.1181 inch) shank diameter used in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and collet-based toolholding systems that accept this shank size.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with tool-holder torque procedures and runout tolerances. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the shank. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the tool holder manufacturer minimum before clamping. At this diameter, excessive runout or improper collet seating can cause premature breakage - verify runout with an indicator before beginning a cutting operation.
