The ACCUPRO 12182320 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 1/32 inch (0.0312 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/32 inch length of cut, this tool handles detailed profiling, slotting, and contouring in small-feature work. The TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide. The micrograin carbide substrate supports edge sharpness at small diameters. Four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation. This end mill is installed and run by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments.
This end mill suits vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where small-diameter work is required. It is well matched to applications in aluminum, brass, plastics, and light ferrous materials where fine detail and close dimensional tolerances are priorities. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without pre-drilling. The 1/8 inch shank fits standard collets and toolholders commonly found in desktop CNC routers and full-size machining centers. Regular length classification makes it a standard reach tool appropriate for most shallow-pocket and contouring operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC mills and machining centers accepting 1/8 inch shank collets; no specific machine model compatibility data was provided.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the collet. Use a calibrated torque wrench on collet nuts to avoid over-tightening, which can distort the 1/8 inch shank at its tolerance band. At 1/32 inch diameter, tool runout is critical — verify total indicator runout (TIR) at the toolholder before cutting to avoid premature breakage.
