The ACCUPRO 12182295 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 5/8 inch cutting diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length, this is a long-series tool suited for jobs requiring extended reach into deep pockets or stepped features. The 3-flute geometry with a 40-degree helix angle balances chip evacuation with feed rate capacity. Micrograin carbide construction delivers edge retention and rigidity in demanding cutting conditions. This tool is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators working on mills and machining centers.
This end mill fits general-purpose milling work in job shops and production environments. The long overall length of 6 inches makes it appropriate for deep-cavity work, tall workpiece features, or applications where standard-length tools cannot reach. The 5/8 inch shank diameter matches directly to ER collets, end mill holders, and other standard toolholding systems of the same bore size. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation is standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. The uncoated finish is common for aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and general steel machining where coating is not required.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and milling chucks with a 5/8 inch bore. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual knee mills equipped for straight-shank tooling of this diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Torque toolholder retention to the equipment manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the cutting tip after installation before beginning a cut.
