The ACCUPRO 12182292 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. It features a 9/16 inch cutting diameter with a 2 inch length of cut, a matching 9/16 inch shank diameter, and a 6 inch overall length. The 3-flute, spiral design incorporates a 40-degree helix angle, centercutting capability, and right-hand cut with right-hand flute orientation. Machined from micrograin solid carbide, this uncoated end mill delivers rigidity and edge retention suited to finish and semi-finish milling passes. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop, production, or maintenance machining environments.
This end mill is classified as a long-length style, making it appropriate for applications that require extended reach into pockets, slots, or profiles where a standard-length tool would not clear the workpiece. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry into the workpiece, expanding its utility for slotting and full-width cuts. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and improving surface finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is sold individually and is well-suited for manual mills and CNC machining centers using standard R8, CAT, BT, or HSK toolholding compatible with a 9/16 inch shank.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 9/16 inch straight shank toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum before beginning any cut. Never exceed the rated speed and feed parameters for the tool diameter and workpiece material combination.
