The ACCUPRO 12182275 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and composite materials. It features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length with a matching 3/16 inch shank diameter. The three-flute, spiral-flute geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance. This tool is sold individually and is suited for use by machinists and tooling professionals in job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments.
This end mill is classified as a long-length tool, making it well suited for deeper reach applications where a standard-length end mill cannot access the workpiece. The centercutting design allows plunge milling as well as conventional side milling and slotting. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match the standard spindle rotation of most CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where TiCN coating provides a performance advantage.
Designed as a standard shank end mill compatible with 3/16 inch collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks used on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar milling equipment with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or placed in an appropriate safe state before changing tooling. Verify collet or holder bore size matches the 3/16 inch shank before tightening. Confirm runout after installation and do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut per pass for the material being machined.
