The ACCUPRO 12182267 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding shop environments. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with an AlTiN coating, it handles hard materials and elevated cutting temperatures better than uncoated tooling. The 3/16 inch cutting diameter and three-flute spiral geometry deliver clean, stable cuts with efficient chip evacuation. At 1 inch length of cut and 2.5 inches overall length, this is classified as an extra-long reach configuration. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC and manual milling setups. Centercutting capability allows it to plunge directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled entry hole.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other ferrous and non-ferrous materials in both production and maintenance machining contexts. The extra-long length of cut is useful when access depth is a factor, such as deep pocket milling, slot cutting, or profile work where a standard-length tool cannot reach. Machinists working on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment will find the 3/16 inch shank fits directly into standard collet and end mill holder systems sized for that diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for standard 3/16 inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following machine tool safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for damage before each use; carbide is brittle and can chip if dropped or improperly stored.
