The ACCUPRO 12182239 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal and composite materials. Built from micrograin carbide with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, it delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance in demanding cutting applications. The 3/16 inch diameter cutting face, 40-degree helix angle, and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. With an extra-long length of cut at 1.125 inches and a 3 inch overall length, this end mill is suited for deep-pocket and contour milling operations where reach is a requirement. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers rely on this geometry for tight-tolerance work.
This end mill fits standard 3/16 inch toolholders and collets used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into workpiece material without pre-drilling. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling on the majority of vertical and horizontal machining setups. The extra-long length of cut classification makes it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and deep-pocket operations where a standard-length end mill would not reach.
Designed for use in standard 3/16 inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches ensures a secure, repeatable fit in precision toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Seat the shank to the recommended engagement depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer — insufficient engagement increases runout and risk of pull-out. Inspect the collet or end mill holder for wear before installation, as excessive holder runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish.
