The ACCUPRO 12182230 is a solid carbide square end mill built for precision milling in demanding shop environments. It features a 3/4-inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/4-inch length of cut, and a 5-inch overall length, making it a long-series tool suited for deeper reach applications. The 40-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating provides elevated surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide. Three right-hand flutes with right-hand cut and a centercutting design allow plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling passes. Micrograin carbide substrate delivers toughness and edge retention across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines where a long-reach 3/4-inch square end tool is required. Its long-series classification makes it appropriate for applications involving deep pockets, tall workpieces, or setups where standard-length tooling cannot reach the cut zone. The centercutting capability adds versatility for operations requiring axial entry. Machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working in metalworking, mold making, and general machining will find this tool applicable across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials where TiCN coating performance is appropriate.
Designed as a direct-mount solid carbide end mill for use in standard 3/4-inch collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a 3/4-inch shank square end mill.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the retention screw or collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator after installation to confirm proper seating.
