The ACCUPRO 12182213 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide with an AlTiN finish, it delivers hard-material cutting performance with extended tool life under high-heat conditions. The 3-flute spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. At 0.25 inches in diameter with a 1.125-inch length of cut and a 3-inch overall length, this is a long-length tool suited for reaching deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. Centercutting geometry allows plunge and ramp entry. Installation and use require a CNC machining center or manual milling machine with a compatible collet or end mill holder.
This end mill is used in ferrous and non-ferrous metalworking environments where high cutting speeds and elevated temperatures are common. The AlTiN coating performs well in hardened steels, stainless steel, and cast iron. The long length of cut classification makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, slot cutting, and contour work where standard-length tools cannot reach. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration matches the standard spindle rotation of most vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.25-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
A licensed machinist or trained CNC operator should install this tool into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before tool changes. Inspect the collet bore and shank for chips or debris before seating. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
