The ACCUPRO 12182204 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It carries a 1 inch cutter diameter with a 2.25 inch length of cut and a 5 inch overall length, making it well suited for deeper slotting and profiling passes where a standard-length tool falls short. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance during high-speed cutting in ferrous and hardened materials. Micrograin carbide substrate supports tool life in demanding applications. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance machine shops.
This end mill is configured for general-purpose and high-performance milling in vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The long length-of-cut classification makes it appropriate for deep pocket milling, side milling, and full-slot operations where a standard reach tool cannot engage the full feature depth. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry is the standard orientation for conventional and climb milling on most CNC platforms. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole, adding versatility in multi-operation setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit solid carbide end mill for CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1 inch straight shank with shank diameter tolerance of minus 0.0001 inch to minus 0.0004 inch.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator using a standard end mill holder, collet chuck, or shrink-fit toolholder rated for the 1 inch shank diameter. Verify that the machine spindle and toolholder are free of debris and runout before seating the tool. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque range for the shank diameter.
