The ACCUPRO 12182179 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Measuring 11/32 inch (0.3438 inches) in cutting diameter with a 5/8 inch length of cut and a 3/8 inch shank, this stub-length tool runs in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills alike. The micrograin carbide substrate supports the TiCN coating, which extends tool life in abrasive and hardened material applications. A 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and helps reduce cutting forces across the full length of cut.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling operations including slotting, profiling, and pocketing in ferrous metals, stainless, aluminum, and engineering plastics. The stub-length geometry increases rigidity and reduces deflection in short-reach applications where overhang needs to be minimized. Machinists and toolroom operators in production and job-shop environments are the primary users. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of one.
Designed for use in standard CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/8 inch straight shank; suitable for collet chucks, end mill holders, and set-screw holders configured for that shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended engagement depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the substrate and coating combination.
