The ACCUPRO 12182133 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations where edge strength and surface finish are critical. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces chipping and extends tool life in demanding applications. The TiCN coating provides enhanced wear resistance and hardness compared to uncoated carbide, making it well-suited for harder workpiece materials. With 3 flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, this single-end, centercutting tool balances chip evacuation and surface finish. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in standard milling setups.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, profiling, and finishing passes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a controlled corner radius is required to strengthen part geometry and reduce stress concentrations. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, adding versatility to the toolpath. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general production milling in job shop environments. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting action are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling machine setups.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/4 inch shank diameter end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe lockout state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and confirm that spindle speed and feed rate are calculated for the workpiece material and coating type prior to operation.
