The ACCUPRO 12182123 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/4 inch diameter with a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the bottom of a cut and extends tool life compared to a sharp-corner geometry. The 1-1/2 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length make it well suited for moderate-depth peripheral and slot milling. With 3 right-hand spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it promotes efficient chip evacuation. The bright/uncoated micrograin carbide substrate delivers consistent cutting performance across a range of workpiece materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling specialists.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills for applications requiring a radiused corner profile on finished part features. Typical uses include profiling, contouring, and pocket milling where a specific corner radius is called out on the print. The single-end, centercutting design allows both plunge and ramp entry. It is suited for ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials in job shop, production, and tool-and-die environments where micrograin carbide rigidity is required.
Designed as a standard 3/4 inch shank end mill compatible with ER, CAT, BT, and straight-bore toolholders sized for 3/4 inch shank tooling on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder to the recommended insertion depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide is brittle and should not be dropped or struck against hard surfaces.
