The ACCUPRO 12182104 is a single-end, centercutting corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it offers the rigidity and wear resistance required for demanding CNC machining environments. The cutting end carries a 0.0200-inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and produces a controlled blend radius at the base of pockets and slots. A TiCN coating lowers friction and extends tool life in abrasive applications. With a 3-flute geometry and 40-degree right-hand spiral, the tool balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality, making it well suited for machinists running finish passes or semi-finish passes in steel, stainless, and similar materials.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers and manual knee mills using ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, or Weldon-flat side-lock holders sized for a 5/8-inch shank. The 1-1/4-inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth pocketing and profiling work. The 3-1/2-inch overall length keeps deflection in check during typical production runs. It is sold as a single unit and is intended for use by professional machinists and tool-and-die personnel working in job shop, production, or maintenance-repair-overhaul environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use corner radius end mill compatible with 5/8-inch bore ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and side-lock tool holders on standard CNC machining centers.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the holder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or coolant residue before seating the tool. Torque collet nuts or set screws only to holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
